Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Opportunity Scanner (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
§1 Acceptance of Terms
By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
§2 Description of Service
Opportunity Scanner is a web application that uses artificial intelligence to generate business opportunity research and analysis based on user-provided topics and role descriptions. Results are AI-generated and are provided for informational and research purposes only.
§3 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
All scan results, opportunity analyses, market research, and build briefs are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. This content does not constitute business, legal, financial, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on scan results. Always conduct independent research and consult qualified professionals before acting on any opportunity identified by the Service.
§4 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying models, prompts, or data pipelines.
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or plan restrictions.
- Submit content that is defamatory, harassing, or violates the rights of third parties.
- Use the Service to generate content intended to deceive or defraud others.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute results without permission.
§5 Accounts and Usage Credits
Access to certain features requires an account. Usage credits (hosted scans) are allocated per plan and reset according to the plan terms. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. We reserve the right to modify plan features and credit allocations with reasonable notice.
§6 Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
If you use BYOK mode, you provide your own API keys for third-party AI providers. You are responsible for securing those keys and for any charges incurred with those providers. We do not store, transmit, or have access to your BYOK API keys — they are stored only in your browser's localStorage. You are responsible for clearing your browser storage on shared or public devices.
§7 Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. AI-generated scan results are provided to you for your personal or internal business use. You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service.
§8 Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
§9 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW (INCLUDING THE LAWS OF Wyoming), WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
§10 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
